Alexis Meares comes from a long line of educators. Her parents and grandparents were teachers and school administrators, and her grandparents’ dedication to the education system in their town was Meares’ greatest inspiration in choosing her profession.
Meares is a valued member of the R-MA Mathematics department, and if her students know one thing, it’s that she is there to help them in any way she can. Meares struggled with dyslexia from an early age, but math classes were her comfort zone. She has tremendous empathy for students who struggle in their studies and has made it her goal to never let a student of hers feel anything less than worthy and full of potential.
Meares played softball for years and is the assistant softball coach here at R-MA. When she is not teaching or tutoring in the mathematics department, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching her brother play football for West Point, visiting her alma mater and going to football games.
