Varsity Soccer Falls to Division 1 School

The Jackets warmed up for their first conference game later this week by hosting Trinity at Mountain View who play a division higher in Division 1. The most exciting play was in the first half when Somto Ogah scored a great goal from a fast build-up to pull the score back to 1-2 after Trinity had taken a 2 goal lead. The tie was evenly balanced with R-MA holding their own and JJ Banek-Gabelle giving a commanding performance in goal. Trinity were awarded a penalty before half-time after an unfortunate handball in the area.

The Cross Country teams had a solid opening first race at Foxcroft Academy.  The boys' team finished in 6th place out of 10 teams and only two points behind the fifth place team.  James Ross was the top runner for R-MA finishing in 19th place with Ben Kopjanski, Lawrence Carvana and Kevin Wu right behind him in 21st,  29th, and 35th places respectively out of 82 runners.

On September 17th, the Middle School Cross Country team hosted five area schools to run the new course for the 2019 season.  While the new course has eliminated the famed “Green Monster”, it did offer runners plenty of hills and “Green Monster, Jr.” to traverse.  After a quick walk-thru to ensure that all runners knew the way, the runners did their last-minute preparations.  Having one race under their belt already, the R-MA runners toed the line with confidence and excitement.  At the call to start, R-MA quickly took their places in the pack of

The Lady Jackets Volleyball team won another game against Mountian View's finest volleyball squad.  The girls started out slow with a series of bad serves, but then climbed back into the game with solid defense and some determination to win the first set.  In the second set, our Lady Jackets faced a more determined opponent.  The opposition tried to employ a quick overpass strategy and count on our team to make a mistake.  This turned out to be their mistake because our team was able to match them play for play.   Our girls stayed positive and determined; t
