Soccer nets tough win

9/24/13  The boys varsity soccer team hosted Shenandoah Valley Christian Acaemy in a non-conference match up.  The game was very competitive with each team having equal opportunities at goal.  However, towards the later part of the second half R-MA managed to put a passing combination together and then was able to get a shot past the opponents keeper.  The Yellow Jackets would tighten down on defense and hold on to secure a 1-0 victory.

The boys soccer team will be back in action on Monday September 30 when they host Fresta Valley at 4:30.

Tennis team secures win

9/19/20  The girls' tennis team traveled to Middleburg Academy.  The Lady Jackets were coming off a tough loss to Highland School and are trying to rebuild their team.  Fortunately, R-MA stayed confident and Coach Khader said "they played exceptionally well and actually implemented what they have learned in practice".  R-MA won the match 6-1 and the team earned the first victory off the season.

9/19/20  The boys varsity soccer team traveled to Fredericksburg Christian School for a conference game.  FCS is a competitive school and R-MA has struggled to defeat them.  Despite the long bus ride to the game, the Jackets showed no signs of fatigue.  R-MA took a very early lead when Ben Gillis '14 crossed the ball into the opponents box and Bryan Mazzola '14 headed it into the back of the net.  Later Mirvalino Baba '16 would add another point to the scoredboard to take a 2-0 lead.  Howe

 9/19/13  The Middle School golf team traveled to Gainesville to play Linton Hall Academy in a golf match at Prince William County Golf Course. The weather was beautiful and the young Jackets competed in their first match of the year. At 6:45 the final two golfers came off of the course and the scores were tallied. The Jackets won a very close match 230-234.

Volleyball team suffers defeats

9/17-9/18/13  The varsity girls' volleyball team hosted Shenandoah Valley Christian School on Tuesday and then traveld to Wakefield School on Wednesday.  Unfortunately, the Lady Jackets were overpowered and endured a 2 match defeat this week.
