Cross Country Runners Scoring Personal Bests

Don Williams, Cross Country Head Coach

The R-MA cross country team completed in the Chelsea Invitational on Monday.  The boys team still without two of their top runners finished in sixth place.  Lawrence Carvana led the team with a time of 21:46.  Emmett Jouet finished with a personal best time of 23:30.  Max Fang finished with a personal best time of 24:31.  Dang Khoa Le ran with a sore ankle and finished with a time of 26:51 and Kevin Chen finished out the team with a personal best time of 27:53.  

The girls team finished third overall with Sam Bai finishing with a time of 23:27.  Cecelia Paredes came in with a time of 25:11.  Cat Thomas finished with a personal best time of 27:47 and Quinlin Bruhn completed the scoring for the girls with a time of 28:48.  The  girls team was able to finish ahead of Foxcroft who beat them the prior week. 

R-MA hopes to have the top two male runners running again to make a push for a top five team finish.  The girls team is also looking to have a top five finish this year after not being able to field a complete team for the last several years. 

The next meet with be the DAC championship race at Foxcroft next Wednesday.
