Dongeun is a boarding student from China, who is attending Randolph-Macon Academy.

Congratulations to Amy, our Class of 2017 Corps Commander and Valedictorian!

Came to R-MA: 8th grade, Fall 2012

Hometown: Ulsan, South Korea

College plans: I would like to major in Biology.

Sports: Cross country and soccer. I was also recognized as cross country MVP.

Activities: I am Treasurer of the Upper School Interact Club, Secretary of National English Honor Society, and Vice President of National Spanish Honor Society. I am also a member of the Honor Council, National Honor Society, Cadets in Action, Mu Alpha Theta, National Social Studies Honor Society, and National Science Honor Society. 

Honors: I have been on the President’s List all through my middle and high school years. I won first place in the sophomore speech contest, and second place in the Greesy-Gooney 10K. I also received the Aim High Scholarship, and won the Tuskegee Airman Award, Outstanding Cadet Award, and the Certificate of Outstanding Achievement: Honors Spanish III. In addition, I was named a top performer on the summer reading.

Air Force JROTC: Corps Commander, the highest position, in charge of overseeing the entire cadet corps

Favorite R-MA uniform: Duty Uniform

Best part of the day at R-MA: Sports/Intramural

R-MA class you enjoy the most: English class! We often debate about interesting topics such as gender issues and first amendment rights

Favorite movie: Kingsman, or Tangled

Best meal at R-MA: Rice (Haha) and beef
