Notes:
- (US) indicates an Upper School sport in which talented Middle School students may participate.
- JV football is offered only when the Athletic Director feels we have enough students to field a team that can safely compete among other JV teams in our conference. Our primary mission is the safety and well-being of our student-athletes.
Our Conference
All Upper School sports except football, wrestling and track and field participate in the Delaney Athletic Conference. The DAC is composed of 12 schools in the Northern Virginia area. All the schools in the DAC place heavy emphasis sportsmanship and fairness. The Middle School competes in the Valley Middle School Conference.
All of our athletic teams also belong to the Virginia Independent School Athletic Association, which sponsors state championships in all sports.
Facilities
R-MA has excellent facilities. With two gyms on campus, the Middle School and Upper School activities can be separated. Six full-size athletic fields provide ample room for all outdoor activities. An all-weather track, a football stadium, an indoor pool, and five tennis courts complete our facility. There is also a weight room available for student use during supervised times.
Awards
Sports awards ceremonies are held at the end of each season to honor all athletes who have been involved in that season. Here individual and team achievements are recognized. Coaches and athletes are honored by All Conference Certificates and Coach of the Year Awards. At end of the year ceremonies the Male and Female Athlete of the Year and the Coach of the Year are announced.
