The Shenandoah Valley is full of natural beauty and Civil War History.

Located in the Shenandoah Valley, Randolph-Macon Academy is surrounded by areas of local and national interest. The following list offers a few examples of areas of interest within an easy drive of the Academy.


Front Royal Shopping & Dining

Downtown Front Royal:  The downtown area of Front Royal has many unique shops to browse through, as well as a variety of restaurants and bed and breakfasts.  The local movie theater is also located downtown.

Hiking/Recreation

Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive:
The park contains more than 500 trails and a 105-mile long road that winds along the Blue Ridge Mountains. The northern entrance is located within a mile of Front Royal. 1-800-999-4714
