Mr. Curl believes in the importance of motivation and consistently challenges both his students and athletes. In order to help each individual succeed, Mr. Curl is personally involved with all of this students and athletes. He finds it important to know what their likes and dislikes are, and what it will take for each to achieve. He constantly lets each student and athlete know that they are capable, whether they think they are or not. He sets high standards and goals for all of his students and athletes, and accepts nothing less from each one of them.

During his time in the corporate sector, Mr. Curl worked for the Atlantic Research Corporation in Gainesville, Virginia; the Stinger Missile System and the Tomahawk Cruise Missile System; the Marlow Motor Company in Front Royal; and the North Fork Resort.
