For a light-hearted fundraiser to start off the school year, Student Council Association at Randolph-Macon Academy Middle School held a contest to see which teacher the students most wanted to see kiss a pig.

Students cast their "vote" by donating cash to each teacher's jar. The "winner," with approximately $40 in "votes," was Middle School math teacher Karen McManus. McManus was not only good-natured enough to kiss the pig on October 15, 2012, but she even had some fun with the event, arriving in a red apron that declared "I love bacon!" and a pair of glasses with a pig nose attached.

The money raised will help fund dances and other SCA activities, explained R-MA Middle School SCA Vice President Jasmine Johnson '16.
